My feet feel like theyre going to fall off!

Hola mi familia!
So semi-quick update for today. Yesterday was my first day in Buenos Aires and after being scared out of my mind being alone I met a few people in the hostel who were friendly and wanted to travel around town. I joined them for some cultural excursions like a beautiful zen garden and then a park with statues and amazing roses. I am pleasently suprised at how many parks they have in Buenos Aires! Then we hopped a bus to the large Cemetery where Evita ( Eva Peron, wife of a famous dictator but she actually helped many minority groups) is buried. Then we visited a Catholic church and admired the architecture. Outside there was a small market with tourist items for sale and yet another park so we laid in the grass for awhile.. then we walked some more (at this point my feet felt like they were going to fall off) to a famous theatre turned into a huge book store. I tried practicing reading some spanish but had little luck Haha. I am learning some though and my vocabulary has already improved, although that is not saying much. After this we headed back to the hostel for some food and drinks on the roof terrace. The nine of us sat up there for hours just talking about everything. Then today we all took the subway to La Bocha ( the gateway or mouth to the city from the sea) where there is a famous (and quite expensive) tourist area called Camenito with brightly colored buildings and Tango performers at every restaurant. We shopped and took pictures until we were just too hungry to stand it. So we ordered a huge meat plate for all of us to split.. there were some obscure ones I was a little nervous to try but I figure I might at well while Im here;) (like intestined wrapped.. something Haha) then we had a couple cervesas and watched the Tango dancer move gracefully on the dance floor. From here we hopped a bus back to the Capital Federal and walked through the streets and picked up some wine and went to a park and just drank and did acrobatic tricks for a few hours until it was dark and we headed back. Now I am eating some homemade soup and looking back on what a fun day I had. That is what I can write about now.. maybe I will have more tomorrow:) Love you all I miss you!
Hasta Luego!
